LED backlighting stained glass at the V&A
The medieval halls at the V&A contain some of the most precious stained glass in the world. To display the glass in it’s full glory, the lighting designers wanted to create a natural effect – as if sunshine was streaming through the windows. To add to the challenge, the delicate glass is very expensive to move and heat generation must be minimal.
Bright Green Matrix was chosen since it provides high lumen efficiency lighting, a very long service life and minimal heat generation.
