Sainsbury’s first store to showcase our latest generation raft lighting

Sainsbury’s has elevated its Cobham supermarket with a comprehensive store upgrade. The fresh produce hall and the beers, wines, and spirits section now showcase a modern, high-performance design.

To support this transformation, the Bright Group of companies delivered an innovative ceiling lighting solution. Our sister company, Bright Green Space, led the structural design. They specialise in combining form and light, creating bespoke ceiling rafts from extruded aluminium profiles. These lightweight structures are built to last—resisting environmental wear and requiring minimal maintenance.

Meanwhile, the lighting system features Bright Green Linear on our second-generation PCB. This advanced system delivers high light output, especially when paired with DALI drivers for full control. Importantly, the lighting integrates directly into the ceiling raft recesses, alongside cable runs and power lines. This seamless integration removes the need for traditional overhead store lighting, resulting in a clean and modern appearance.

Furthermore, this project reflects our ongoing commitment to retail lighting innovation. It complements our broader product range including light boxes, plug-and-play systems, power track kits, and shelf lighting.
