LED illuminated entrance canopy for the Shell Building

The Shell Centre in London is the UK corporate HQ of the eponymous multi-national oil giant.  Completed in 1962 and located on the South Bank, the tower overlooks the London Eye.  At one time, it was both the tallest building and the largest office space in the UK.

As part of a refresh to the common parts, Bright Green Technology was asked to recommend an illumination system for the entrance canopy.  Diffuse illumination was the key objective together with IP67 rating and a long warranty.  The available space was also very limited.

This led us to specify Bright Green Grid, which has been widely used for this application.  Bright Green Grid is high lumen output, IP67 rated and provides diffuse illumination down to 40mm depth.  Warm white (3000K) was chosen to produce an architectural, slightly retro feel to the canopy.
