Colossus, Clapham Junction
Europe’s busiest station and largest LED-backlit billboard
Clapham Junction sees over 2,000 trains a day carrying many thousands of eyes, all drawn to the ‘Colossus’. This 5 x 60 metre phenomenon was previously lit with fluorescent tubing. The retrofit to change to an LED-backlit billboard saved both energy and maintenance whilst measurably improving illumination.
