Four large illuminated displays, three measuring 4 x 3m and one slightly smaller, are situated around the foyer area.  Each is backlit with Bright Green Matrix, the latest LED product from Bright Green Technology.

Designed to offer a real alternative to fluorescent tubes, Bright Green Matrix ensures a bright and evenly lit display with no striping.  Perspective Signs, based in Ipswich, chose Bright Green Matrix following successful trials which demonstrated fantastic stand-out even in the bright ambient light around the cinema. Simple installation, with long ‘stick’ lengths, made fitting the system quick and easy.

With the displays lit for 15 hours a day - power savings of up to 70%, a 50,000 hour lifetime and virtually zero maintenance were big benefits when compared to traditional fluorescent tubes.

The Victoria & Albert Museum in London, has recently opened its new £30 million Medieval & Renaissance Galleries to the public.  With artefacts spanning a period from AD300 to 1600 displayed over 10 galleries and 4 floors - the project has been a major undertaking.

Bright Green Matrix was specified to backlight a series of stained glass windows to give the effect of daylight streaming through the glass.  High performance and reliability were critical since the glass, once in position, is very difficult to move.

The system was supplied in 1875mm, 1250mm and 625mm long ‘sticks’ to light areas as large as 2m x 2.5m.  Bright Green Technology also supplied dimmable power supplies which allow the curators the ability to adjust the light levels if required.

With a power and carbon saving of over 70% when compared to fluorescent tubes Bright Green Matrix is fast becoming the preferred choice for illuminating large displays, illuminated signs and outdoor media sites.

Working closely with the Robert Horne Group, the agreed solution was Bright Green Matrix.   A proven LED backlighting system which uses high performance 1 watt LEDs encased within a robust aluminium housing.   Different length Matrix ‘sticks’ within the range enabled a linear installation of 21 metres accommodating the curve of the facia to down light onto the sign. The 1 watt LEDs ensured excellent illumination across the 600mm depth of the facia.
